TOXIC FIGHTING!!!   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is TOXIC Fighting System?

After many years of teaching under the name of  KRAV MAGA I have decided to change the name of my style to TOXIC Fighting System.

This is mainly due to the fact that what I teach is vastly different to the Krav Maga that I was shown 11 years ago. I have kept many of the theories and concepts of KRAV MAGA and blended in some from other Martial Arts and added some concepts of my own, making this a unique Self Defence system.

So if you think that KRAV MAGA*** is the best self defence system for you and that is what you want to learn then you may find that this the style for you.

*** Krav Maga is the official self-defence and fighting system used by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF), Israeli Police and Security Services,

as well as numerous U.S. law enforcement agencies.

It has also been described as the "World's Most Brutal Martial Art".

2. How is TOXIC Fighting System different from a traditional Martial Art?

TOXIC Fighting System  is not a traditional Martial Art, it has NO kata’s, NO Ritual’s, NO Nonsense.

Based on simple principles and instinctive movements this reality based system is designed to teach real self defence in the shortest possible time.

You’ll learn to defend against common chokes and grabs from all angles, punches and kicks and weapons such as guns, knives and sticks.

Just as importantly TOXIC Fighting System  will teach you to function under stress, shock and the adrenaline rush of a sudden, violent encounter.

3. What are the benefits for me?

Awareness.

Students of  TOXIC Fighting System  use basic moves in various combinations to fend off violent attacks.

This means that students adjust to new situations through improvisation, an important and unique feature of this style.

This requires using the head as well as the body, and thus TOXIC Fighting System  addresses the thought process as well as physical action.

Confidence.

Improvisation also allows for limitation in physical abilities. Not everyone can bring their leg up to an 180 degree angle and so the system is geared

towards the average person.

Students are taught a variety of possible defensive reactions to each possible attack, building upon an actual framework of useable techniques.

They are then encouraged to utilise the responses that are appropriate to their capabilities.

This allows the student to develop a sense of confidence in their abilities.

4. What if I have not taken a Martial Arts Class before?

TOXIC Fighting System is a unique system that makes it easy for a novice to learn self-defence.

And because of the effective moves and quick retention many people who have studied traditional Martial Arts are attracted to it.

TOXIC Fighting System  has proven to be a very open system that welcomes all who wish to participate, regardless of background.

5. How long will it take me to be proficient at TOXIC Fighting System?

TOXIC Fighting System , unlike other Martial Arts, is a very fast progressing system.

Part of its design was driven by the need to train people very quickly and very efficiently.

Consequently, it usually takes a person of average physical ability perhaps only several months before significant progress is achieved and noticeable.

6. How safe is TOXIC Fighting System? Do I risk getting Hurt?

TOXIC Fighting System  is as safe as any traditional Martial Art.

Classes are typically small and tightly controlled.

The chances of being injured during a class are very remote.

7. What should I wear?

Unlike a typical Martial Art there is no imposed uniform for TOXIC Fighting System. You just need tracksuit bottoms and acomfortable T-shirt.

Due to the mats being owned by Martial Arts and Fitness we now have to train in socks or barefeet.

8. Do you teach Ground Fighting

Yes, we understand the need to defend ourselves in the event that we go to the ground or floor.

However, in TOXIC Fighting System we teach to always get back onto your feet as soon as possible

9. What if I'm not sure about joining a class? How do I get started?

All I ask is that before attending you ring or email to make sure there will be room in your preferred class.

10. I am a small person with little strength? What good is TOXIC Fighting System to me?

The TOXIC Fighting System was designed to benefit the average person. The system is not about sheer power or strength.

In fact one of the basic principles of the TOXIC Fighting System is that one should not oppose power against power.

Instead TOXIC Fighting System blends a combination of unique physical skill with mental determination.
